HAVE COUCH - FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA

I’m a 28yo queer male student and am away most of the day at school. My roommate is trans and is also in school most of the time. We have a large couch and a futon in Fairfax Virginia for up to one week, and more if things work out ok. You do not need to pay for anything other than your own food (including alcohol etc.) and some basic necessities. No hard drugs please. If you’re working through an addiction and trying to get clean we know resources that can help. Weed is ok for yourself, same goes for alcohol, but again yours to buy and yours to consume.

We can drive you to where you need to go in the area, including to Washington DC if need be, but we also have a metro and bus system here. We have two cats and a dog, all very friendly and affectionate. Sorry but we cannot accommodate any further pets. We have a patio you can smoke on in general if you need to. Sadly we’re not really wheelchair accessible. We do share food and you can be assured of at least one good home cooked meal. Apartment has wireless internet and possibly a computer for you to use while you’re here.

There’s a lot of resources in the area such as health care, mental health counseling, and other medical care if you’re interested. We also have connections to ample LBGTQ resources for everyone, but in particular for trans men and women.

We’re not looking for another roommate, just interested in mainly helping those in dire need of a safe, clean space to rest, get cleaned up, and get help.
