In the next few months or so, I’m hoping to become emancipated, but for that to happen I’ll need a semi-long-term place to stay beforehand (with parental permission, of course.)
Here’s the situation. I’m in an abusive home right now, but I’m working with my therapist to make my parents understand my need to leave. When all this gets worked out and I have a job, I’ll need a place to stay. Immediately after getting emancipated, my friend will be coming down from Washington to stay with me and we will be moving to Florida together by bus to meet with two of our other friends (all four of us are trans*, if you’re wondering.) My estimate is that in about four to five months, I’ll need housing. Even if you don’t have space yourself, if you know of anyone in central Austin who is looking for a roommate, that’s also helpful!
