I have a couch, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats (yeah pretty much a house full) but if you only have a cat its ok. My girlfriend and I rent a 1 bedroom apartment currently. however if you see this post and its past August of 2014 then we have a home. If you need somewhere to crash or somewhere to possibility get yourself together for a few months let me know we’re pretty flexible as far as rent and bills go.
My partner and I are renting a building on our property that we’ve converted into an apartment/rental home space. We’re both cis-gendered lesbians and are currently renting the bottom half of our house to our gay cis-gendered friend.
We’re located in Port Orchard in Kitsap County, Washington, about twelve minutes from the Southworth-Fauntleroy (West Seattle) ferry.
All utilities are covered in the $900 rent. The only thing you would need to pay for is internet/phone/tv if you want any of those things.
Here’s the info from our Craigslist ad:
Impressive, fifteen foot ceilings in the open kitchen/living room. Nestled in the Port Orchard woods, walking distance from Banner Forest. Twelve minutes away from the Southworth ferry.
This quiet, inspirational space has two bedrooms plus ample storage, and is wired for cable and internet. **Utilities (electricity, garbage, water, sewer) are included in the $900 rent.** There is room for parking in front of house. A courtyard and orchard stand between your new home and your friendly landlord & family, and second long-term renter.
Both bedrooms and the living room have wall to wall blue-gray carpet. There are huge windows in every room, overlooking the surrounding forest and courtyard.
Bathroom features: step-up lit shower, Biolet Sun-Mar toilet.
Kitchen features: fridge, extra deep sink, toaster oven, microwave, two-burner hot plate, coffee maker. No stove.
We are pet-friendly but do require a $100 pet deposit per cat or dog. However, dogs cannot be off-leash on the property. If a dog run is needed, we can work that out with you.
Absolutely no smoking inside the house or on the property.
We would prefer a one-year minimum lease but would be open to a six-month lease for the right renter. To move in we require first month’s rent ($900) and security deposit ($300). We do *not* require last month’s rent up front.
If you are interested in renting, email or give us a call at (360)550-2071. We look forward to hearing from you!
My fiancee and I are looking for someone to help us pay rent in Starkville, MS. We live in a two bedroom townhouse close to the local university. One of the rooms is completely empty right now, ready for someone/a couple to move in. If you’re able to pay rent we can help you furnish it. Half the rent is $340/ month plus utilities, but so long as you can help us financially somehow (food stamps, utilities, make it so I can work more hours) it’s available.
I am a 21 year old genderqueer college student and my fiancee is a 21 year old trans woman looking for work while I finish my degree. We will be here for two years, so if things work out between everyone, you could live with us for cheap up to that long. Both of us have mental illnesses and while I am on medication, my fiancee is struggling to be able to do the same. However, this is a safe space. We can talk more about this if you’re interested. We are vegan and would prefer someone who wouldn’t eat meat, but so long as non-vegan cookware is kept separate it’s all good. We drink a few times a month, so there is alcohol in the apartment. No smoking indoors, and absolutely no drugs brought inside. The complex we live in is known for getting people in trouble if there are drugs or drug use found on the property, and we can’t afford that because of my job. We have one older cat, but no other pets are allowed.
The location is right off the main highway in town and next to campus, but public transport is limited to the university and very few routes off campus, so you will need a car or bike to get around. If you are wheelchair bound, we can help you get around. The entrance is on the ground and you are welcome to the living room, but the second bedroom is upstairs and there is no elevator or other access. The university has trans and queer friendly healthcare, and we’re willing to work with you to get the resources you need to get where you want in life.
Please contact me via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or through my tumblr ( which hasn’t been used much lately): zkadkohasaboaraffe.
Note: I only have access to the internet on my phone right now, so I can’t see all the tags to get to #Mississippi, sorry about that.
Quad Cities Area Finished Basement Apt.
FtM & Femme legally married couple have an apartment up for rent…
Now, as for the finished basement… It’s a HUGE space which runs almost the entire length of our home that could be used one of two ways. You could either use it as a bedroom with an office off to the side, or you could use the smaller room (aka the office) as a bedroom and have your own private living room. There’s an attached garage which allows for a private entrance into the downstairs. Private bathroom… TONS of storage space.
There is a laundry room downstairs which will require us being able to be down there in the space. There is no private kitchen, but just ask anyone who knows us, I’m a pretty damn good cook, and there’s family style dinner served every night in this house. If you’re looking for a new start, there are jobs here out the ass. Literally everywhere seems to be hiring right now, and we’re on a public bus route (50ft from our front door) if you don’t have your own mode of transportation.
Also, due to it being a family home, you MUST provide a recent (as in the last 14 days) background check from the sheriffs department at your own expense.
I have been homeless for a bit, but have found a place to stay with my sweetheart and some friends at a house on Broadway. The room I am sharing is too small for me and my boo, so we are going to try to move out. To do that we need to fill this room!
It is in a house with three other rad queer punx. The room itself has great lighting, two of the walls are basically huge windows. It is an upstairs apartment in a building with other really neat people. There is a courtyard where we hang out with each other sometimes. It’s a pretty supportive spot!
Utilities are paid for by one of the other housemates and rent is 700 for this bedroom as well as a pretty large storage area. Also, the living room is amazing with huge windows as well.
It is a few minutes to walk downtown/metro center.
My girlfriend has a room to rent in her apartment as well as a couch.
The room can be sub-leased to 2 people for $450 each plus utilities and deposit or $800 for one person.
The couch is $200 + utilities and deposit if long term.
This is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. The room for rent has a huge closet, good for storage or if you have a lot of clothes. The bathroom has a shower/tub. There is also a small fenced backyard where smoking is allowed.
This apartment is close to Highway 17, about 40 minutes from Santa Cruz, and close to Highways 280 and 680. It’s located near Santana Row and The Winchester Mystery House.
No more pets, we already have our own here.
ROOM AVAILABLE NOV 1st
Sublet/spare room available in trans/queer friendly apartment in East Lakeview. Very close to many buses as well as the brown and red lines. Allergen warning: there is a cat.
The apartment is 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom on the second floor (there is an elevator and stairway). There is laundry on site and free cable and wireless internet. Rent is negotiable, probably around 600 in exchange for some basic pet care and a few other household things.
Really great neighborhood. Lots of stores and restaurants around. Only a few blocks South of Boystown.
I am FTM and queer. 21 years old. I am a full time student and work part time so I’m not home often during weekdays. I am majoring in screenwriting and enjoy watching TV/movies, cooking, and playing the guitar. I swear I have more personality than what this sounds like.
Please contact me with any questions or for more info. I am very willing to negotiate or do whatever I can to accommodate. Contact me through tumblr askbox and I will give you email/phone number.
I’m an FTM single guy looking for a nice roomate in Essex, NJ. I’m very easy going. I like to read, paint, cook, watch tv/movies. I work long hours three days a week. I drink and smoke occasionally.
The building is on a main avenue so there are many stores, restaurants, public transit, laundry, ect. within walking distance. We can work out a food arrangement that meets both our preferances. Unfortunatley, it is not wheelchair accessable. The room is furnished. It is a large appartment with a large kitchen, large living room, study/workroom, medium bathroom, and two medium sized bedrooms. I have a car (it’s temporarily out of commission though).
The rent is $620. This includes heat, hot water, cable, and internet. We will split however much the electricity bill is.
If you have any questions or comments please email me at email@example.com. I generally reply within a few hours.
If you are in need of a safe place to crash for a night or two and don’t mind a fuzzy cat, I can offer a couch in my one-bedroom apartment in Spokane, Washington. I’m trying to be friendly and helpful, but have limited resources and definite restrictions on me. Please see my tumblr account for more info about me: garryana.tumblr.com
I am unable to accommodate underaged people, or pets. Upstairs. Call 847-461-9708
Any cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana must be done off the property. PLEASE, no other drugs in or on your person! Respect is all that is expected. :^) Thank you.
I’m a 27yo single female PhD student living alone (with three guinea pigs) just north of Melbourne and pretty close to a train station. Apartment is upstairs and not wheelchair accessible. I have a couch (or air mattress) available in my loungeroom.
I’m happy to feed and house someone for as long as they need it, though if it turned long term I’d appreciate a small weekly contribution to food/amenities.
I’m an omnivore, I don’t go out much, and I spend a lot of my spare time watching TV and sewing cosplays. There is almost always alcohol in my house and I’m a light drinker.
22 y/o ftm. Friendly. Always willing to help out!
My girlfriend and I are wanting to help any and everyone we can. We live in Portland, Oregon.
If you just need a place to crash, we’re open to anyone. We’ve got a beautiful baby beagle named Luah. We love to blast music, go old art hunting, house decoration shopping, play video games, use the crap out of Netflix, have art nights, etc. Oh! And we’re 4/20 friendly. [:
Or, you know, if you just need good people to vibe with.
I’ll tag anything that has to do with us, or the area we live in.
Best way to contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org
Hey everyone, i’m Jenny
My roommate is looking to have someone take over his half of the lease on the apartment so he can move back to Washington with his parents.
Rent is $520 ($260 for your half) and move in would be December 1st.
I’m planning on having the cable turned off once he moves out (because i never watch tv) so the only bills would be internet and electricity (water, sewer, gas, etc are covered by property management). Electricity usually floats around $50 (~$25 for your half) and i’m not sure but internet only with TWC would be about $50 (~$25) as well.
420 friendly but you would have to smoke on the balcony to avoid smoke damage (i also hate the smell of smoke).
There’s a strict no pet policy set by the property management but if you already have a pet i’ll probably just use it as an excuse to buy myself a bunny. :3
3rd floor and NOT wheelchair accessible

Michael: 23 y/o, cis-gay, artist, goth-boy, works at a thrift store
Indie: 19 y/o, non-binary queer boi, crafty, Sober, works at a non-profit
We both love horror movies, and crafts. Michael drinks once in a while. We both smoke cigs but not in the apartment complex. We stay up late, but are respectful when people are asleep.
Two indoor kittens: Oliver, and Rikki Riot about 9/10 weeks old
(no more pets are allowed in the apartment.)
If you have any questions or anything hit me up at captain-indie.tumblr.com/ask
You will have use of house except most of upstairs to yourself except when I come back on weekends every two to four weeks. Your rent of less than $1000 is less than half the going rate. The house is furnished including your bedroom on the family room level. Do normal indoor and outdoor household chores. Be there for service people and watch them occasionally. The rent may be lower if you do handyman chores like strip the wallpaper, paint, and fix things. The house is messy with lots of my parents stuff. Help sort, store, toss, or donate it, and you will have dibs on much of it. The best way to reach me is email. You can stay in house into 2014, and longer as long as you cover house costs.
